The newly designed addition to Fort Worth City Hall sets a new benchmark for civic architecture, offering a transparent and welcoming environment for the entire community. The space features natural wood elements that soften the glass exterior, transforming the traditional institutional setting into a vibrant civic hub where all citizens are encouraged to engage in the democratic process. As a flagship civic development, the project upholds the highest standards of sustainability, utilizing responsibly sourced, renewable materials throughout.

This landmark project was guided by a commitment to lasting durability, aesthetic warmth, and environmental responsibility. In the entryway and large public meeting room, Twist and Quilt, two softwood designs in Douglas Fir, add pattern and texture in the glass-dominated environment while the grain, tone, and finish of the wood infuse the space with visual warmth. Lining a curved dais, ARO Plank 5 in black leather creates dynamic patterning, depth, and sophistication where council members interact with the public.
